Effective August 12, 2026. This policy covers the FeelsLike iOS app and this website.
The short version
FeelsLike has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no ad SDKs. We run no servers of our own. Your settings and your saved cities live on your device, your Comfort Profile syncs between your own devices through your own iCloud without ever reaching us, and your location is rounded before any request, so your exact position is never sent to anyone. FeelsLike is a paid app, which is the whole reason none of that has to change.
What the app uses
Your approximate location, rounded before it ever leaves your phone, to fetch the local forecast. The cities you save. Your app settings and Comfort Profile. All of it stays on your device, except your Comfort Profile if you use iCloud — see below.
Your Comfort Profile and iCloud
If you're signed in to iCloud, your Comfort Profile — the answers about how you personally experience temperature — syncs between your own devices, so the app knows you on your iPad as well as your iPhone. It travels through your iCloud account, between your devices. It does not pass through us. We have no server for it to reach, no way to read it, and no copy of it. If you'd rather it didn't sync, turn off iCloud Drive for FeelsLike in iOS Settings, and the profile stays on each device on its own.
Only the Comfort Profile syncs. Your units, theme, notification switches, saved cities and location stay on the device they were set on. Your purchase never syncs either — whether you've paid is checked with Apple separately on each device.
Where your location goes
Only ever the rounded version. It goes to Open-Meteo and the US National Weather Service for the forecast and alerts, and to Apple to turn your coordinates into a place name. We don't keep it, and we can't: there is no Feels Like server for it to land on.
The Map screen
The Map centers on your area, so the tiles you load reflect roughly where you are. Those requests go to Apple Maps for the base map, NOAA and Environment and Climate Change Canada services for radar, and OpenWeatherMap for the temperature, wind, and global precipitation layers.
What we share
We never sell or hand off your data. The providers above receive only what's needed to draw your weather, each under their own privacy policy.
Paying for the app
Every purchase and subscription is handled entirely by Apple. We never see, receive, or store your name, your payment details, or your Apple ID. Whether your subscription is active is worked out on your own device, directly with Apple, each time you open the app, and the answer never leaves it.
What Apple tells us
Apple gives every developer aggregate reports about their own app: how many people downloaded it, how many started a free month, how many stayed. Those reports are counts, not people. They are assembled by Apple from users who chose to share analytics with Apple, we cannot connect them to any individual, and we could not identify you from them if we tried. We do not add any analytics or attribution software of our own to the app, so there is no separate tracking on top of that.
Notifications
Weather heads-ups are generated on your device and delivered by iOS. Nothing about them is sent to us. If you start a free month we schedule one reminder before it ends, so you aren't charged by surprise. That reminder is scheduled on your device too.
This website
Static pages hosted on Netlify, which logs basic requests to serve the site. No cookies, no analytics, no forms.
Your rights
Delete the app to remove all local data. You can revoke location access anytime in iOS Settings.
